stitchwhich*Had a good day today - shopped with the hubby, then played cards with the card-crowd. Fed them all chicken noodle soup that I made using all of the last of the fresh stuff. Yay! I washed the fruit & veggie bin afterwards so it is all clean and shiny again.
*Found some new flavors of yogurt to eat. I like the stuff, don't get me wrong, but 'being forced' to eat it daily takes some of the joy out of it. Creamcicle Orange will help with that.
*I may have to discontinue the treatment that is forcing the yogurt-eating, as liver counts have caused my dermatologist some discomfort. Luckily, I go in for more tests and such on Tuesday and (hopefully) a full test will make the numbers be better (as opposed to a quick non-fasting test).
*I have a cold and a bare one day to heal it. That sounds weird, doesn't it? Well, there's this long list of "do not take for 7 days before your surgery" stuff and most of the cold meds are on it.
*Gonna sew tomorrow. Yishov's [sp] tunic that he'll need for Interbaronial 12thNight. One less thing to worry about pre-surgery.
*Am almost done with Shawn's Giftmas blanket, which I am crochetting out of acrylic thread. (Yeah, I know, shudder, shudder. But it will go on a couch occupied by a set of three Gamer-room-mates, who live, eat, and breath in front of their Big Screen. So it has to take soda, pizza, and who knows what else with aplomb.) And oddly, I like it well enough that I would kinda like to make another one using a different color set but don't know anyone else who'd want something made out of acrylic yarn. And any other yarn would be too expensive.
*I just recently realised that the Herald's Box I put together when I became the barony's herald will be passing out of my hands... now I have to make one for me! I think I'm a little excited about checking out hanging folders in something other than our 'donated by us from old supplies' military green. Although BossMan will roll his eyes at the idea of buying what we probably already have in stock. But I like bright and cheerful. Besides, I'm taking one of his old file boxes. Isn't that enough?
*We went to the Lego section at WalMart (we were buying card-playing munchies) and they didn't have thing I wanted in stock. *sigh* But we spotted this game and I think I want it to play with m kids when we get together for Giftmas, even though we are all actually far too old for it. I was disappointed to not find the log cabin there, though, as I'd been looking forward to buying it. I suppose I should be glad, instead, as that puts my 'lego fund' that much closer to Diglon Alley or the big Egyptian Pyramid set. I don't think the Egyptian stuff is going to last for the long haul, so I should buy it as soon as I can.
