I was allowed Diet Sprite today. No Pepsi* for me. :(

It was a boring day. Not that the hospital staff can be blamed, it was just a grey rainy day and I was stuck in one room, in one bed (for the most part) and not able to concentrate or read for more than a few minutes. I Dont actually remember much of what I've read, so it's good that I set aside my books. Maybe that will improve in the morning.

No more IV pain drugs for me. It's all pills and shots now. I said that I could deal with 'just pills' but that comment only brought a smile to the face of the nurse, shortly followed by a jab to my tummy (the shot goes into my tummy. It's not really bad, actually. But I would happily do without it.)

The Pain Scale is starting to bring me down. Do I have a number for it? Hell no. Pain is pain. It ranges from 'bad, but I can deal" to "bad, and I want you to make it back off". I have no idea where, on a scale of 1 - 10 either one of those is supposed to be. I recognise that I am not speaking health-language, but that's the way it runs. I need an interpreter!

Everyone I know down here is getting ready for tomorrow's event. I hope they all have fun. It will be less than a mile from my hospital room.

Bossman brought me a small vase of flowers from the bouquet sent by Bran & House Corvus - how sweet! The rose smells marvelous. In fact, I am sure that it brought the pain numbers down by at least one, right after I put it to my nose. :) I can't wait to see the actual bouquet. It's at home, waiting for me to get outta here. That seems to be likely in the next couple of days, most likely by Monday. Then I'll just have to rest, recover, rest... we'll see how that goes.

Guests are tiring. I've discovered that. There's a few folks who don't wear me out but I haven't seen them. We'll see what transpires next week.

Food. I want real food. Cremecicles! Yeah, Edy's vanilla ice cream w/orange sherbert!

...and Diet Pepsi.

*The hospital has and exclusive contract w/Coca-cola company. Thus, no pepsi products in any area. *le sigh* I shall have to throw myself on my husband's mercy!
