A nurse from my oncologist's office just called me to apologise about my experience last Thursday. She said that the office folks were talking about it, trying to remember who the patient had been, because whichever staff member who was angry on my behalf (having seen some part of it) it couldn’t remember (or didn’t know) my name but felt that something needed to be done. They’ve already changed the waiting-line chairs and such outside of the lab and the scheduler’s office, and the nurse really wanted my suggestions about how to make it easier on first-time patients. She thinks a FAQ page in the handout is a very good idea. They put a patient FAQ page up on their website this morning. So my one little email (and one incensed staff person) got a very swift and effective response.
