Boo-boo aid
Oct. 20th, 2011 12:24 pmI had to buy more bandaging material for my owie (which is healing, albeit slowly) and found the neatest thing at the drug store. Tubular stretch bandages. They are packaged in a box with a slit on the side, from which you pull out the length that you need, and cut that off with your scissors. (There is about 5 feet of tubing in there). As tiny as the tube looks, it stretches wonderfully and holds for... um, I don't know how long for, but we put one on my leg around 7:00 last night and I only wore a gown to bed (thus the bandage came between me and the sheets) and it is still holding, nice and comfy, now at noon the next day. And there is no nasty itching or irritation from tape on my skin (oh thank the Gods).
They come in two sizes; adult and child. So I would suggest that if you have to deal with injuries on legs or arms that require bandaging, keep these in mind. They are so much more comfortable than bandaid-type bandages, or even worse, dressings & tape.
