I'm a grump
Apr. 15th, 2006 04:58 amThis morning I went to the grocery store (the 24-hour one, since it was after 2am) to buy water and ice for tomorrow's event. I also scored a little plastic clear pitcher that looks like it is of glass - there is ice water on the table planned for tomorrow, now. Which meant buying two gallons of water to augment what I was putting in the cooler.
But that's not why one should call me a grump. No, it was what I did after I got my purchases out to the car that qualifies me... see, I grabbed two shopping carts from around my parking place and brought them in when I went in - just one of those things you do when there's a mess. And when I came out, I was just in time to see the car newly-parked next to mine erupt three young ladies, who then left three large bags of McDonald's food trash on the ground between our vehicles. So after I loaded my car, returned my cart, and corralled one more cart being pushed by someone clearly exhausted (but not too exhausted to be polite and return it to the cart corral), I, well, I picked up all those bags of trash and the cups left next to them and....
left them on the hood of their car.
