It is almost 6:00am and there isn't a toilet in the house.
Well, there is one but it is in two different pieces in two rooms.
Floor installers will be here in two hours. Then our bathroom floors will be something other than crumbly cement.
YAY!!!
[EDIT: expected arrival time of floor installer came and passed. One half hour after he was overdue, I called him. Seems he "never gives an exact time, wouldn't have done that... he had a job that went overtime and he should be here sometime after noon, as he's in North Carolina right now, finishing that other job." I should have known better. And he is well aware of my disgust with the situation - and I believe he's also fearing (as he should) that I will be calling the contracting office to complain. In normal situations, it wouldn't be a problem. I do understand that construction and flooring jobs unexpectedly develope problems that make them run over. But it is inexcusable to not call me - yesterday - to let me know the status so I would not be stuck in a house with no toilets for a full work day.
In sadder news, I have run out of Laurie R. King books to read. Darn it!
