I Have Graduated. From PT. Got my little pieces of paper with the exercises neatly outlined ("add these many repeats for a max of this"), I have a heavier-duty rubber band, now a green one rather than the wimpy red one, and it smells like vanilla too. After 30 more days of these exercises I have permission to start playing on the treadmill (walking) at the gym, then I can move up to a bike and if that doesn't cause any flareups - the elipical glider. Woohoow! I'm looking forward to that. After Pennsic-tide, I get to see if I can handle the rowing machine and once I can do 30 minutes on glider or machine, it's time for a real honest-to-goodness Physical Training workout and I can start to tone those ole slacking muscles. Heh. It's making me grin. It's making me start opening the box on planning hiking trips again and white water rafting. *sigh* I'm so relieved.
I like being healthy. I think I'll keep it. And to think I never expected to live this long (and a year ago was wondering why I'd bothered.)
Wow. I'll have to dig out the heating pad so I won't miss the PT session enders.
