To my Wiccan Friends

Have you read, "The Circle Within, Creating a Wiccan Spiritual Tradition"? I've just started it and am curious what others thought of it. I must say that it addresses something that I have felt was going missing in my life - the daily rituals and awareness of Diety as opposed to the Big Holy Day awarenesses. I like that the author references monastic life and draws the parallel between that and what we could, if we wished to, live ourselves in a form of "walking in the Light".

Well, I'm putting it badly. Anyway, has anyone else read it? (And I'm curious - are other folks, who are not monastic or Mormon, encouraged to live a 'dedicated' life? I know that they were in early Christian history, but what about now?
