Had a panic moment and then it was gone

stitchwhichArn handed me a white tunic and told me that he'd torn out the seam down on one cuff. I didn't recognise the tunic. For one moment, I thought he'd somehow gotten a hold of Rowen's tunic that was waiting for embroidery. EEP! Heart stopping! And then I found her tunic, all nice and safe, folded up in the 'next to do' spot. Whew!
The wool tunic that I'm decorating for one of the Viking LH-guys is coming along well. It's not going to be as heavily embroidered as I had envisioned but I don't think he'll mind too much. I am ashamed to admit that I did simple cross-stitching along his (soon to be) stressable seams rather than the proper herringbone stitch. The deadline to hand it back to him is too close but he's got to have something on those seams - he's made 'first timer's' sewing errors and they're going to unravel without reinforcements. That nice fuzzy wool thread should felt/mat enough to keep his tunic together for a long time to come.
I've got to remember to take a picture of it before I hand it back to him. Then I can go back to working on CC's gowns and Rowan's tunic. I think I have a good dodge for getting a decent knotwork design in the little mousies.
