So this morning I went to the pharmacy to pick up my monthly refills. Now, I pay $36 for four prescriptions and I know that's a savings. And I always wonder if I ought to stop taking one or two of them since there is only one which is "life saving" (high blood pressure meds) and the others are, well, in the catagory of making life easier - iron suppliment, allergy med, tummy soother.

My, my, my. I finally added up the little "your insurance saved you ____" bits. $348.86. That's what my insurance picks up every month so I can have enough iron to donate blood, not have a stuffy nose all the time, and eat without heartburn. Oh, and keep my BP in the acceptable range. But you know, even after I get going well enough to drop that BP through exercise, it's only going to save Champus $86.99 a month.

Wow. I think I want a degree in Chemistry. Or better, just buy stock...
