It's a New Year! Time to get used to writing "2007" on the date line. I'm always good with that for the first few weeks and *then* I revert to whatever the past year was. I hate that. :)
Cal'z chicken wings were a fine idea for dinner. Indulgent, tasty, and more expensive than I'd normally go (thus the 'indulgent') but oh-so-yummy. Unfortunately for me, I learned to like chicken wings by eating Cal'z and have never found another sauce/type that I like other than theirs. So the occassional excuse to indulge is good.
Arni called me at midnight direct. He was standing in the back yard of Mungoe & Siobhan's house watching all the (illegal) fireworks around the neghborhood and giving me a verbal description of the new types that were in the air. Then Shawn called me from his friend's house to do the same... they were playing board games. I miss those. Cranium. I saw that in the piles of games we packed for the Samaritan House and wondered if it was any fun.
All my event tokens are completed. 146 of the little suckers, all hand-sewn. Yippie Skippie. (Heh) We've never really had over 130 people attend the event so I'm not worried about running short. And for once, they are not all in baronial colors. I know, my bad, but every once in a while I get good and tired of blue, green, and white. Although normally I'd use them for this event specifically because we share those colors with Tir-Y-Don and that makes it kinda fun.
Huuuummmmm.... I think the leftover chicken wings are calling my name. What's that? Yep, I'm sure they are. Time for midnight finger-licking goodness.
