Hi From Cooper's Lake
Aug. 1st, 2006 05:40 pmI'm sitting in the Panara Bread Store, using their Internet cafe-clone so I can post a hello. It's hot up here. Even at midnight. It was 77.8 degrees in my tent at midnight last night, with fog all around. Warm wet fog is not really very fun. But it cooled off after that and the sleeping is GREAT!
I figured out that getting dressed in the temperature-climbing-by-the-minute tent in the morning is MUCH easier if one has one's big 10-inch fan blowing. Thank you, Geoffrei, for letting me in on where to find one. The second day here, when I was in the shaky/exhausted part of unloading, setting up, getting organised, I laid down on my bed and took a two hour nap. Wow. Who would have thought that was possible in the full afternoon sun? It was blissful.
I shared my tent with a skunk (I think). That will be a story to write about after the War, eh?
